mcGalaxy’s Massive Summer Update

Survival Improvements, LunarPass Upgrades & the Return of Apocalypse

mcGalaxy has received one of its largest updates to date. This release includes extensive repairs to legacy systems, more than 150 new custom assets, major improvements throughout Survival, upgrades to LunarPass, and the long-awaited return of the Apocalypse zombie-arena minigame.

From restored shops and immersive animated NPCs to completely rebuilt Apocalypse classes and difficulty modes, here is everything included in the latest update.

Server Change Log

Compatibility, Performance & Core Systems
  • Patched client support for Minecraft versions 1.9.x through 1.26.2.

  • Updated legacy client-support systems.

  • Improved packet and network handling.

  • Updated the server chat handler.

  • Updated the custom-mob system.

  • Restored the mob-stacking system.

  • Disabled stacking for bees.

  • Updated spawning conditions for all mob types to more closely match vanilla behavior.

  • Patched zombie spawners incorrectly reacting to light levels.

  • Updated spawner logic with several quality-of-life improvements.

  • Added a daily NPC reset to improve long-term server performance.

  • Patched resource-pack version mismatches that caused loading failures.

  • Updated legacy functions used by McMMO menus.

Commands, Navigation & Player Information

  • Added the /website command.

  • Added a website boss bar.

  • Added an option to toggle the website boss bar through /options.

  • Added navigation tips to the player join message.

  • Patched broken tab-list animations.

  • Patched broken balance displays in the tab list and scoreboard.

  • Removed the Power Level indicator beneath player names.

  • Removed rank prefixes from player names in the tab list.

  • Patched NPCs incorrectly appearing in the player-list tab.

  • Improved the readability of the /home menu.

  • Patched every broken button in the main /menu.

  • Added a new Cosmic Code redeemable through /redeem.

  • Refreshed the automatic server announcements.

  • Patched the Notice Board and restored its claimable rewards.

  • Patched broken Cosmetics, Pets, and Particles vendor stores.

  • Patched a major vendor-store bug that prevented purchases from completing.

  • Added more than 150 custom items, furniture pieces, foods, and other assets.

  • Patched broken custom-item abilities, including the God Pickaxe.

  • Patched legacy furniture items.

  • Patched the Vintage Floor Lamp’s light output.

  • Added a new city furniture collection.

  • Updated Faye’s Furniture Store.

  • Updated the furniture collections displayed inside Faye’s store.

  • Improved the readability of furniture-crate holograms.

  • Added pets inside Phoebe’s Pet Store.

  • Restored the missing Phoebe’s Pet Store hologram.

  • Reopened Weston’s Wands in the Overworld.

  • Patched basic-tier wands and added custom models.

  • Massively updated Weston’s Wands.

  • Massively updated Bart’s Blacksmith.

City Center & Overworld Improvements

The Overworld has received a major visual and atmospheric upgrade, bringing more activity and personality to City Center and its surrounding shops.

  • Added 32 custom animated NPCs.

  • Added immersive animated NPCs throughout the Overworld.

  • Added Flora’s Florist Stall.

  • Added Finn’s Fish Shop Stall.

  • Added Gizmo’s Tinker Shop.

  • Added Raina’s Restaurant.

  • Added six friendly guard robots.

  • Added NPC drones around City Center.

  • Added a flying UFO to City Center.

  • Improved the friendly NPC soldiers in the Zombies lobby.

  • Patched broken NPC behavior and logic.

  • Restored missing holograms around spawn.

  • Restored missing colors on signs.

  • Patched the random darkness effect near the center of spawn.

  • Patched Tulip’s Tutorials menu.

  • Added an Apocalypse portal in City Center.

  • Added a leaderboard displaying the server’s top store purchasers.

Survival, Recipes & Additional Fixes

  • Patched End portals in the Survival world.

  • Blue Eggs can now replace regular eggs in custom recipes.

  • Added a Moss Block recipe using nine vines.

  • Updated the mcGalaxy documentation website.

  • Patched mismatched model textures inside the LunarPass menu.

LunarPass Change Log

LunarPass has received several visual and progression improvements, along with a hidden reward for players willing to hunt for it.

  • Added LunarPass tier progression beside player names in the tab list.

  • Patched mismatched model textures inside the /lunar menu.

  • Added a secret zombie-themed unlockable tag.

Apocalypse Change Log

Apocalypse has officially returned.

The zombie-arena minigame has been rebuilt with rebalanced classes, new maps, redesigned progression, cheaper rewards, new zombie types, four difficulty levels, and a brand-new lobby. This is not simply a reopening—the entire mode has received a substantial overhaul.

Classes & Equipment

All 10 Apocalypse classes have been rebuilt and rebalanced.

  • Patched weapons for the Reaper, Artificer, Monk, Elementalist, Barbarian, and Illusionist classes.

  • Updated weapons for the Titan, Longshot, Assassin, and Mage classes.

  • Updated all four default Apocalypse classes.

  • Patched inconsistencies affecting Titan armor.

  • Updated the Monk class to prevent crashes.

Zombies, Bosses & Difficulty

  • Added nine new custom zombie types ranging from Easy to Nightmare difficulty.

  • Removed legacy custom zombies from Apocalypse arenas.

  • Completely rebuilt the Apocalypse custom-mob roster.

  • Rebalanced Apocalypse map bosses.

  • Added Easy, Medium, Hard, and Nightmare difficulty modes.

  • Patched the round-based zombie-arena system.

  • Patched the Farm map boss failing to spawn.

Maps & Spawn Points

  • Added two new Apocalypse maps.

  • Reopened /warp arenas.

  • Added a brand-new Zombies lobby area.

  • Patched zombie spawn points on the Farm map.

  • Patched zombie spawn points on the Train Station map.

  • Patched zombie spawn points on the Lost Islands map.

  • Updated zombie spawn points on the Catacombs map.

  • Patched the portal connecting City Center to Apocalypse.

Nuggets, ArenaXP & Rewards

The Apocalypse economy has been redesigned to make progression more rewarding and shop unlocks substantially more attainable.

  • Rebalanced Nugget earnings across matches.

  • Finalized Apocalypse Nugget pricing.

  • Increased Nugget earnings so every ArenaXP level grants one Nugget.

  • ArenaXP is now awarded directly to the killer whenever possible.

  • Prevented dropped ArenaXP items from stacking.

  • Rebalanced the Apocalypse shop with significantly cheaper prices.

Menus & Quick Access

  • Patched the Apocalypse Store menu.

  • Patched the Apocalypse class-unlock menu.

  • Updated the Apocalypse Zombies menus and shops.

  • Added a Zombies button to the main /menu.

  • Added the quick-access /zombies command.

  • Updated the /zombie menu.
